[Event] ANSS Partner Share Insights on Civil Judgment Enforcement at HukumOnline’s Event
- 22 June 2026
Adam S. Nasution, Partner at ANSS Counsellors at Law, recently participated as a speaker in HukumOnline’s Training Program 2026, where he discussed the practical challenges and strategic considerations surrounding the enforcement of civil judgments in Indonesia.
During the session, Adam highlighted a critical reality of civil litigation: obtaining a favorable court judgment does not automatically guarantee recovery. In many cases, the enforcement stage presents the greatest challenge, requiring significant time, resources, and strategic planning.
He emphasized that effective enforcement should be considered long before a dispute arises. Businesses are encouraged to adopt a proactive approach by carefully drafting contracts, selecting appropriate dispute resolution forums, identifying the location of counterparties’ assets, and conducting thorough due diligence before entering commercial relationships.
According to Adam, enforcement planning should not be viewed as a post-litigation exercise. Rather, it should form an integral part of legal risk management from the outset of every business transaction and commercial engagement.
